MORE ABOUT THIS EVENT
Afternoon tea has always been an important tradition at Wilderstein. Many people have fond memories of being invited to tea on the verandah by Margaret (Daisy) Suckley. Since we cannot be together for our annual benefit, this tradition has been re-imagined and we are bringing a virtual tea party to you!
As we sip tea on our porches at home, you’ll be treated to a wonderful program that features a conversation with Geoffrey C. Ward. A longtime Ken Burns collaborator, he has written 27 documentaries and won 7 Emmys. Mr. Ward is also the author of 19 books, including Closest Companion: the Unknown Story of the Intimate Friendship Between Franklin Roosevelt and Margaret Suckley. Few writers in the genre of American History have found a wider audience and had a greater impact.
Wilderstein thanks event underwriters and contributors: Aisling Flowers | Bradley Farm | Colleen Bloxham | Hudson Valley Vintage | Morgan Stanley | Paul Hallenbeck Real Estate | Samuel’s Sweet Shop.
