1998 - WILDERSTEIN HOLDS ITS FIRST “FALA GALA”

The Fala Gala was a tribute to Fala, Franklin Roosevelt’s beloved Scottish Terrier that was trained and given to him by Daisy Suckley.

The event began with a dog parade led by bagpipers and concluded with readings from Daisy’s book, The True Story of Fala. The book, written by Daisy and Alice Dalgliesh in 1942, had been out of print until Wilderstein republished it in 1997.
