A campaign was launched in 2023 to raise funding for the next phase of restoration work on the carriage house, moving us closer to the long-term plan of integrating it into the Wilderstein experience as a Visitor & Education Center. The carriage house is an amazing building architecturally with tremendous potential for supporting Wilderstein’s continued growth and ability to better serve the community.

This next phase will focus on replacing the roof and will also include repairing and straightening the turret. There is urgency because the roof is at the end of its lifespan and failing. If steps are not taken to replace it, prior work to save the carriage house will have been wasted.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the fundraising goal has been attained and we are on track to begin work soon!
