July 13, 1988 - THE MANSION’S ORIGINAL PAINT SCHEME IS REVEALED
Paint analysis is begun to determine the original colors for the mansion. Although there is little paint left on the building, the analysis reveals that the house was originally painted in a complex scheme of pumpkin, green, plumb, and cream but had been repainted a solid brown soon after construction was finished. Wilderstein’s board decides to repaint the house in the original color scheme specified by the mansion’s architect, Arnout Canon.
