1975 - WILDERSTEIN IS LISTED IN THE HISTORIC AMERICAN BUILDING SURVEY

Wilderstein’s inclusion in the Historic American Building Survey (HABS) was an early indication of its historic significance at the national level.

HABS, begun in 1933, is the nation’s first federal preservation program devoted to documenting America’s architectural heritage. The resulting HABS report for Wilderstein helped establish the estate as a contributing property in the Hudson River National Historic Landmark District.
